Guess Who Moved In?
Maricar's parents moved in for the next 10 days and no two days are the same.

Moments of the Week (Feb 19-25)
Jero has a new roommate. He wakes up in the middle of the night, is on his phone with the volume up, and the room is now a yard sale. Early prep for dorm life.
I prompt Mama E to story tell. My favorites include Maricar’s “first boyfriend”, opinions on tattoos and people that have crossed her over the years.
Kids chose The Croods over Wonka for movie night. I love watching their reactions of vicarious embarrassment during the young romance scenes.
On The Move
Run With Me on Strava - 53.50 mi, 7,289 ft
Three miles into any run, I felt knee pain regardless of my pace. After incorporating some exercises over the past two weeks, it has disappeared. It was nothing major, but I'm glad it didn't get worse.
Group Runs
Tuesday: Siena Pyramid of Pain - A pyramid hill run with seven checkpoints.
Thursday: Catch Me If You Can - An easy 5K in pairs with 10-12 sprints sprinkled in using visible landmarks as distance posts.

In times like these, I feel like a real trail runner. This course had it all. Speedy concrete, technical bits, bushwacking and steep climbs. I enjoyed most of it.
1st trail run whatsoever since HK100.
Went in with no expectations and zero pressure. I didn’t kill myself and fueled well. My body and stomach felt good. The cooler overcast weather helped.
Kept a steady 150-160 HR.
After the first half when most runners finished, I was on my own and wondered at times if I was lost despite a well-marked course. At the last checkpoint, I was informed I was 5th OA.
Bad cramps struck my quads when climbing with 7k to go. I was so close to the finish and thought "Perfect timing". Thankfully, I was able to run it off on the descents. Over the last 5K I went back and forth with another runner. Overtook him permanently with 3k to go.
500m to the finish, I twisted my ankle on the sidewalk. Immediately after crossing the finish, I tripped on a root and face-planted.
My watch dial got stuck at the start and didn’t track the first 20 minutes of the race. Time for a new watch?
Well done. Fantastic result on race! Hopefully your ankle and face are doing ok after your unconventional celebration.
